Helene Schmitt is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing therapy in both English and French. She completed her undergraduate studies in France and received a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Palo Alto University.

Helene has a special focus on working with people from multicultural backgrounds, as well as those navigating a new phase of life. She supports clients questioning where they belong, struggling to find their footing, or trying to make sense of who they are and what they want next. She also has extensive experience working with couples, helping them move beyond painful communication patterns and recurring conflicts, toward a more sincere, vibrant, and secure relationship.

When working with Helene, you can expect warmth, care, encouragement, and honesty. As your co-pilot, she brings presence, curiosity, and insight to help you develop a greater sense of self-acceptance and capacity to experience connection.

Helene is trained in Psychodynamic therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and attachment theory. Her approach draws from both insight-oriented and experiential modalities: some invite us to reflect and make meaning of our experiences, while others help us slow down and connect with what is happening emotionally, physically, and relationally in the present moment. Her clinical work is also shaped by her own lived experience as an immigrant, a former tech worker, and someone part of a mixed-culture family.

She has worked with individuals and couples of all ages and backgrounds and looks forward to getting to know you and creating meaningful work.
