Â
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have worked in Intensive Outpatient, community mental health, and private practice settings. My clinical training is in psychodynamic psychotherapy (talk therapy), somatic practice (using the body), and depth psychology (exploring the unconscious), as well as evidence-based practices including DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and addiction psychology. I often include art, images, writing, role-play, meditation, and easy movement into sessions.Â
Â
I have a few areas of ongoing focus:
Â
Untangling creative blocks or facing workplace challenges, like stress, career changes, and complex work environments. I work with artists, actors, writers, and other professionals including those in the tech, medical, and entertainment industries.Â
Many of my clients are students at the grad and doctoral level working through the psychological challenge of the thesis and dissertation processes.
Parenting, (in)fertility, gender roles, and body image.Â
individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.Â
Â
I have an MA in Counseling from Pacifica Graduate Institute, an MFA in Directing and Acting from Trinity Repertory Conservatory, and completed yoga teacher training at the Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica. In my therapy practice, I draw on 25 years as a theater artist and teacher in a variety of collegiate, corporate, not-for-profit, and entertainment settings.
