Natalia Melancon, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker #108570
Natalia graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with a Master’s of Social Work degree in 2019. She has worked with former inmates, adolescents, adults, and families, as well as with court-mandated and senior citizen populations in a group setting.Â
Natalia always aims to create a warm, accepting, trustworthy relationship with her clients. Her goal is to build a therapeutic alliance where they feel accepted and respected for their individuality, have the right and capacity for self-determination, and are fully involved in the treatment process from beginning to end.Â
Natalia comes from the perspective that clients are the experts in their life, and her collaborative approach is to make sure they have a voice in how their treatment process is unfolding, feel empowered, heard, validated, and heal at their own pace. She uses an eclectic mix of cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness to treat depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ and life transitions issues.
